I ended up buying the G10 display model today.. I got it for $1000 and they threw in a 2 year protection plan with it since they couldnt check the hours for it.. Its still under the Panasonic warranty too so I figured why not take the risk...

Anyways, great tv. I tweaked the settings a bit and this tv is AMAZING!!!!!! Thanks to the Blu-ray members and CNET for leading me in this direction...

Congrats. Head over to the avsforum and check out the long thread about this tv with some good pointers on tweaks.

You will enjoy this TV.

Congrats on the G10

If you look around the AVS forums like Grif suggested you can find out how to get into the service menu to check the hours on the television.

Thanks.. Also thanks to both of you who suggested AVS, I checked the hours for it and it was 2238 hours.. I guess thats not bad, what is the lifetime hours on a plasma? Also, it said the count number was 410, does anyone know what means?

I believe off the top of my head that lifetime of the sets is around 30,000 hours. Enjoy the set- there are some calibration notes here in the forums as well (including mine!)

I'm pretty sure the "count number" is the number of times it was powered on or off.
