I consider this a very serious issue given the fact that Transformers will still be selling and Blu onwers pretty much fired their entire load this past week.

A scary week ahead of us for sure...

I was actually thinking that myself.

I will try to pick up a few Kubricks if the budget allows...

I made sure I could still buy this week as well.

I don't think there's anything to worry about Transfusers is either 10 or out of the top 10 on amazon (haven't checked yet today). Even though some people couldn't find it last week Best Buy tends to have lots of copies just sitting there getting no attention. I think most people that want it have it already.

And,.. it's somewhat defective if you read up on the problems DUD-ers have with it. Of course this always concerns me because they have to take it back and re-buy it 4 times which could inflate sales numbers.

That won't happen. It's my understanding that a return is credited back to inventory.

There is ONE thing you did not consider... yes Transformers will keep selling... but this week we have Meet the Robinsons, the Shining, and a HUGE selection of other titles, a BIG load this week. It is a BIG week of releases, and there are many more in store. I think we will be able to keep up the numbers with many titles, and not just one like HD-DUD has.

Never assume the worse! Watch your downside and the upside will take care of itself is the motto I like to live by. I am a successful business man, and if I went through life being pessimistic I would have never taken risks that have rewarded me and my family. Confidence instills a winning attitude, pessimissim instills doubt, worry and an attitude that is not one of a champion .

I have to concur. Even though a vast majority of us went hog-wild (no pun intended) buying Blu last week (thank you, all, again!) there are still many titles coming out this week, and through the end of the year, that we will continue to buy. Personally, I was thrilled to see the 71/29 from the previous week, with only one day of BOGO counted. Can you imagine what the remainder of the week will be like? I think we will all be pleasantly surprised by the actual numbers, considering the reports (or lack thereof) of Transformers sales from last week.

HOLD THE LINE!

I don't think we will, especially since the "reports or lack thereof" seem to be imagined within these boards. We can't point to the lack of mumbers as proof that TF isn't selling well, nor should we be lulled into a false sense of security because of the few anecdotes about stores still having copies. Even if it is true, as others have pointed out it doesn't mean anything.

That's what I'm saying. If you always make sure you have the bad end covered, you're good, and can be happy when it's up.

Upside's don't happen without being proactive

I'm not sure I believe that TF hasn't been selling well. I was in Fry's over the weekend and they were sold out.

SoCal is not a good market, and especially Fry's-the geek superstore, to judge the market for anything as a whole. It's a grand anomoly of early adoption

I was in several retailers over the weekend (Fry's, BB, Target) and most had copies left. (Both DUD and DVD -- some DUD, a massive number of DVDs.) Of course, this means nothing unless we know how many copies of DUD were shipped.

enjoy

That's probably why Best Buy has Meet the Robinsons for $22.99 this week. They have to give everyone a break after they spent so much. I bought a lot, but most of mine were catch up titles and new releases. I only did one BOGO. I still have money for Robinsons and Hostel and Hostel 2, not a fan of Stanley Kubric.
