Just checked my email and I got another confirmation...with more info saying that it's been shipped and all.

Thing is though it doesn't have a shipping date arrival:

Fck, I was hoping to have it this week

Don't tell me CH is one of those sites that don't put up a product is sold out when it is, and then when way too many people order, they say it's backordered and then takes 1 or 2 months to actually get the movie.

A hassle with ordering online

I got shipping confirmations last night for Basterds, Public Enemies (both were backordered), GI Joe and 9 (from Monday) -- all dated today!

PLUS, I received 3 parcel notices in the mail, presumably previous orders... Blu-ray Overload, here we come!

No, not unless they do a special double-promo, at which time they will announce it specifically.

The other code for CineEtCie was "FS1001".

So it looks like there is a good chance that people that order GI Joe from the English site this week will get it before those of us that ordered in from the french site in the middle of December. Unbelievable.

To be slightly fair, the English site like likely send out the English only version which they get from their US counterpart and thus have plenty of stock. The French site I'd guess sends a bilingual version and thus has less stock.

It still does seem like a ridiculous wait though. I won't disagree there.

I suspect there may have been a shortage of the bilingual cover version from the studio; I noticed last night that the Futureshop near me had a fresh supply of Joes and it seems they weren't there for the longest time. I know Walmart has been sold out of them for weeks.

That would explain the outrageous delay. Hopefully they get shipped soon.

That's the thing about QT movies, you can watch them a million times and still see something you didn't see the time before.

I bought it on release from DVDNGG then gave it to a friend and bought the steel.
