Cool. That's what I was hoping. I was hoping to put ceiling speakers for the full 9.1 effect (IIz) but apparently you can only use 7.1 at a time. If that is so then I would have to disconnect the REAR surrounds and enable the HEIGH speakers (along with the center/L+R front/L+R surround and subwofer). Am I correct on that?

I'm not sure but that sounds correct. You have to choose 7.1 or 5.1 with DSX.

BTW - When you say 'ceiling speakers', you don't mean speakers actually in the ceiling, do you? I believe it would be very unlikely they would do a good job with DSX.

I meant for the IIz HEIGHT surround speakers. They advertise the receiver (onkyo 607) can do 9.1 speakers, but apperantly it can't do the HEIGHT and SURROUND + SURROUND REAR at the same time
