This is awesome, I would love something like this for the Planet Of The Apes collection. Hopefully these cases become more readily available.

My experience with these types of cases is that the discs keep falling off the nubs because they are so shallow. I'm fine with my thicker case.

I got Blade Runner in the thicker Blu-ray case. To me, I like that case better. It stands out the most in my collection...next to my Close Encounters of the Third Kind Blu-ray.

I agree the thicker case seems more fitting for such an Ultimate Coll. Ed... with Godfather I felt cheated a but I know we got a 4 disc set.... but come on that case was cheap and easy

I like the thicker version too:

- Holographic cover. Much cooler.

- It's a 5-disc set. It should stand out as a thinker item on your shelf. It's not a 1-disc movie, it's a collection of movies. The thickness says "look at me, I'm special" to people who come over and check out my collection.

- I have never had any problems with the discs "falling out" of the mounting holes, although I'm sure that may be an issue when shipping the item.

I'll stick with the thinker version. It'll probably become a collectors item anyway, and the discs are the same as the thin versions anyway.

I like it, its about half the size of the original one
Just for the record New Blade Runner packaging, even thinner.

Makes little difference to me. I'll stick with my "bulky" case.

a) what does that have to do with a slimmer case for Blade Runner?
b) a DTS HD MA track from the same master would sound identical to the TrueHD, so your wish is meaningless

It makes me laugh that you bought another one for...the slimmer case?

Invisible glass is the BEST glass cleaner! (especially if you wipe it off with newspaper)

There's nothing holographic about it. It just has some reflective foil.

Hey, I'm just glad I've got the set, even though I have the pre-diet one.

I just received a sealed copy of the thin case version of Blade Runner 5-disc, and unfortunately upon opening I found that both of the disc jackets had broken off at the clips. Pretty flimsy materials, in my opinion. Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed... Now I have to buy another 5-disc case to protect this "brand new" set.
