Jess was engaged in a Sisyphean challenge, or a challenge without avail or end, in hell.

Watched "Ran" earlier, for the second time ever (first time on BD). I liked it much better this time around than last time; it is pretty long and slow at times, but I found the story and characters quite immersive this time around. The battle scene in the middle of the movie is brilliant! Above all I sensed a greater theme to the movie, concerning human power struggles, war, and violence in general, all of which in turn build up to a figurative apocalypse of sorts. Its all quite fascinating. 4/5, at the last.

Wizard of Oz (first time watching it in blu)

Film: 5/5 (i keep forgetting how good this film is. great fantasy themes that brings out the imaginative kid in all of us, while also throwing in great comedy into the mix. incredible special effects for its time)

PQ: 5/5 (the best PQ I've seen on a 30's-40's release)

AQ: 4.5/5

An American Crime - Wow what type of people we have in the world! I now have to watch the Girl Next Door! Anyway what a story, which is based on a tru story. Catherine Keener did one hellavu job playing a cold heartless mother. Very believeable. What an influence she had over all the kids including the neighborhood kids as well. Such a tragedy. As for the film I would rate it 4/5 Got Em!!

Yeah.... I was surprised that I liked it because 2001 and Blade Runner ARE THE ONLY MOVIES I LOVE

Fantastic Mr. Fox- Good movie and voice acting, I liked that it had multiple layers of messeges under the over all lesson of the film but it seemed at times they were trying to say too much. Music was great.
I would say Up! was a better movie though and should take best animated at the Oscars.

I thought Jolie was miscast for The Changling. Clint should have casted a lesser known actress for the role. Jolie is too Hollywood for that role.

Rented "The Informant!" today. It was okay; nowhere near as funny as the trailer made it out to be, but it did have its moments. It's more of a docudrama of sorts. It has decent action and a quality production design, but for me, it's just not that engaging (I'm not that wild about Soderbergh's work anyway). 3/5

Wow I couldnt disagree with u more! This was acting at its finest! Jolie killed that role! Her best yet. Got Em!!

Wow. That was a bit of work keeping up with that one, but well worth it. Talk about a mind maze. I have to say that I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. The ending could have been better, HOWEVER, I cant think of a way to improve it based on the "situation" of the lead character.

Hats off the the director and continuity people for keeping all those details properly sorted while telling a twisted and complex story.

Melissa George did a fantastic job. I cant imagine reading that script and not feeling overwhelmed knowing what would be expected of you.

I wouldnt call this a "horror" movie in the traditional sense at all. Like The Shining, its more of a psycho/suspense/thriller.

If you enjoy having you mind overworked and abused, being stressed and frightened, I highly recommend this.

Honestly, I was so lost in the insane web, I cant give you a PQ AQ rating.
