the waterboy (sandler is NOT funny people...)
billy madison (sandler is NOT funny people...)
twilight...

The Fast and The Furious (all, and anything with Vin Diesel in it as a matter of fact, except Saving Private Ryan which he barely has any lines in thank god)
watchmen
10000 BC
Slumdog Millionare (tried watching it twice-only made it through the first 45 min)
There will be blood (Star Trek the TV series was more exciting that this one)
The Prestige and the Illusionist (I still can't tell them apart, boring stuff)

You do understand the concept of a gimmick, yes? There was absolutely no point to that film, other than "hey, look! The chronology is all out of order! Awesome!" That doesn't make for much of a film.

There is no "logic" to apply: there is no story, nothing of interest to me at all, the whole movie is a 113-minute editing gimmick, and nothing more.

He was fantastic in "Kalifornia"

I guess enough people like it, so it's worth owning Ed Norton is good.... so I'll write it off from the "supporting Ed" fund

Gotta disagree with Watchmen. If you read the book first and enjoyed it the movie is close to perfect. Started to cut more out the later the movie progressed but that aside it is amazingly good. Fans only tho IMO.

Id like to clarify.. with the exception of 2001, I dont dislike these flicks..I just dont see the massive praise for them..at least after all these years to hold up...

I def see how when 2001 came out people could have been enthralled..but today I cant take sitting thru it..and before people say I have no attention span, I can sit thru the original SOLARIS.

You don't like its message that any person, no matter his or her intelligence, can do wonderful things in life? I find that amusing.

Manipulative of the audience? Almost every movie can be considered a culprit of that in some way.

The only one I'll comment on is Slumdog. If you haven't seen the whole movie, you can hardly judge it

I know many movies that started slow but then really kicked it in the latter half, making it a great movie.

What don't you like about The Prestige? I saw it for the first time this year, and I think that after a couple more viewings I will consider it one of my favorite movies...

The Hurt Locker - dull unoriginal retread of every other war movie out there. Personally I think it's only getting the fanfare because everyone's such a bleeding heart about "supporting the troops".

That's the thing I find funny about Watchmen, most folks look at comic book movies and complain that it wasn't true to the source, but Watchmen was practically a frame-by-frame adaptation to film of the original source material and there's SO much hate for it. It's pretty amazing IMO.

Maybe If I had read the comic books I would have liked the movie better but I've seen a lot of other movies based on books I've never read before and I liked the movies.
It was really hard to follow, it made no sense for the most part, and the glowing blue guy was just getting annoying
As far as slumdog - I really tried watching the whole thing...but I hated every second of it, kinda like that new "Pandorum" movie that came out - I watched it with 2 of my friends and after 40 minutes of it we were all like "this sucks, lets put on a different movie"

What is your issue with the message? Or, which message dont you care for? I ask because I see more than one message.
