Default CineExplore on Disney Pixar Blu-ray

After watching the Blu-ray of Cars and enjoying every minute of the CineExplore special feature, I found (on my movie cases) that both Up! and Wall-E also have this feature. I was excited about watching them as well, but when I popped the Blu-rays into my PS3, I could not find these features anywhere.

As far as I know, I have the latest firmware for my PS3, so that shouldn't be an issue. Also, since I have previously seen CineExplore in Cars, I figured it would be right there in the Special features area of my discs. But they are not there.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, or can give me any clues as to why this is happening?

They're there when you push 'play movie', they're not in the special features menu.

Ha, nice! I tried every button EXCEPT "play". I figured that would just take me right to the movie. Thanks.

What is the "Cinexplore" ? is that the "Find the cars" game in "Cars" for instance???? I haven't tried this feature yet, but watch all of these often with my son, so anything that requires me to actively use the controller to select things is no good, because my son is drawn to the remote like a moth to a flame

No, CineExplore is like the coolest commentary track ever. In Cars, for instance, the main speaker is John Lasseter, and he has all kinds of great tidbits about the movie. The cool part, though, is if he's talking about something, images will come on the screen depicting real locations, artists modeling cars, Paul Newman laughing with Lasseter, etc. Then, the next time you want to use the feature, you can listen to the commentary track from some of the production crew. Also, CineExplore will break away from the movie and show short documentary behind-the-scenes clips, as well as deleted scenes. There is an autoplay mode where you can set it to play all without you (or your son ) having to touch the remote.

I've never been a commentary guy, but CineExplore on Cars has converted me. I will certainly watch all the CineExplores on all my other Disny/Pixar movies in the future (especially because, with young children, I need to switch it up every now and again).

BTW, that "Find the Cars" game is so awesome! Basically, you watch the entire movie, and there are things you have to find on-screen. It's like a Pixar moving pictures iSpy game. So, he can be standing near the TV, and shouting "there it is, daddy!" while you handle the remote. Warning: some of them are tough! And, it's easier to use a PS3 game controller for this feature (if applicable)
