What a great game! The Americans put up a fantastic fight for a nail-biting sudden-death tie-breaker in over time, but in the end Canada won. Fantastic!!

Congrats to the Canadians for winning the Hockey gold, congrats to we Americans for winning the most medals!! I just hope in the end, the Canadians gain respect for the way we played them in the hockey game. We put our all into this game and fought with our blood, sweat and tears...

I live just off a major thruway and all I'm hearing is horns going off and even an emergency vehicle sounding a siren for a short beep here and there.

Canada is proud tonight and they should be. It's about time we showed our patriotism and told the world that we are a nation strong, proud and free!

Ya... A lot of Canadians are talking like it wasn't even a contest when that's not even close to being the case. USA poured their heart and soul into that game and you could see it on their faces when they were being awarded the silver medal. The face on Zach Parise, for one, said it all.

Congrats to USA and most importantly Brian Burke and Ron wilson who did amazingly well and shocked the hockey world when no one saw them in the gold medal game losing to Canada in overtime.

Seriously, cannot emphasize enough how much the American hockey team exceeded my expectations, should be proud of your team!

I'd be curious to see the NBC feed of OT. Those shots of Toronto and other cities was awesome. This feels like a huge moment in Canada.

It's interesting because the USA didn't really play good hockey. They did manage to mantain some intense pressure on every puck carrier. But, they weren't setting anything up most of the time. I'll give them credit for putting up a fight. However, I can't give them credit for playing "good hockey."

Based on the the game itself, Canada clearly deserved the win.

Well, you do realize that we have no problem with the Stanley Cup going south of the border over the last 16 years when a high percentage of those who have hoisted that cup over the last 16 years have been Canadian players.
