I think asda is quite good when it comes to selling blu-rays as they have a 2 for 15quid section and i picked up reservior dogs & leon directors cut bargain.. And even the new titles such as UP i picked up for under 17quid the same price play.com might have been asking for. Some times asda do them cheaper.. It is a fact i think the retailers have been hit hard due to online shopping as its so much cheaper and shops are closing as online shops dont have to pay overheads.. I think in many many years to come retail will be the thing of the past as online is cheaper

Survival of the fittest, I guess. Same goes for electrical stores. "New TV, Sir? We have some but I don't know anything about them." They are happy to undercut stores of long-standing, but help, advice and ordering anything they don't stock went out the window when the supermarkets started dabbling. |

I agree, they are totally insane in store. Ah well, I only shop at CeX in store and they are quite cheap.

the only reason their prices are so high as like some members have said before they have no real competition in terms of Blu Ray/DVD stores, apart from the supermarkets but in my eyes they don't really count

35 Pounds is ridiculous.
It's not even thát bad around here in The Netherlands, where it's already ridiculous. With a regular BD costing between 20 and 30 Euros. I think the start-price is more commonly 25 now instead of 30, but ugh... And to think 35 Pounds is like nearly 40 Euros... But whatever, I recently purchased the 'Ultimate Bourne Trilogy' for about 20 Euros. As opposed to the set for 60 Euros in The Netherlands or nearly 25 a piece if you buy them separately. Just WHAT!?... I can buy 2 or 3 for the same price on Amazon... I feel bad for the people that just blindly pay the prices... And just a check for 'Quantum Of Solace' in particular: 32 Euros (29 Pounds) at the Dutch "Free" Record Shop. 18 Pounds (20 Euros) at Amazon UK. Which is still twice the price it should be for some reason, but still. Why is that actually? Why is 'Quantum Of Solace' expensive? It's been out for nearly a year I see now and... what's up with the price?... The Deluxe Edition of 'Casino Royale' has been down to like 8 Pounds, why is "Quantum" stuck at this? I know they are but always ask to see the disc before hand...never had one problem with them. Trade in old dvds and games for credit, means more blu rays I don't have to pay for. I got 4 blu rays yesterday and spent £1.
