How can you not like this genre? Implausible? Man, most of these movies are so incredibly stupid it's amazing. But boy I love 'em all and will collect them until the day I die. 2012 is sort of the Ph.d in disaster films as far as I'm concerned and can't wait to purchase it. I mean, c'mon, you can't tell me you didn't smile just a little bit when the guy left the subway car in Vocano and carried the kid to safety WHILE WALKING THROUGH MOLTEN LAVA AND MELTING AS HE WENT! I mean that's just one great scene from one of a dozen brainless films that just go perfectly with the popcorn and jordan almonds, right?

That is one of my all-time favorite disaster movie scenes. 2012 will be a blind buy for me tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.

Watched it earlier... enjoyed it more than I thought I would, probably mostly because I got new speakers! But yeah, I'm sure I wouldn't have been as thrilled watching it on a lesser system.

for you guys that use amazon.com to preorder movies: do you receive the movie on the release date? for instance, would you get 2012 in the mail today, ideally?

I didn't feel like seiving through 10 pages, and I am sure this has already been discused, but what extras/material does the 3 disc version have that the 2 disc doesn't?

Is there a significant difference?

going to go buy this tonight and watch it. my gf wont watch it cause she thinks this crap is real yet she loved the movie the day after tomorrow. anyway i hope this movie lives up to its audio and video standard.

I just got back from Target and picked up 2012. Its funny because the slip says three disc edition and the insert says two disc edition while there is really four discs inside.

I will watch it tonight i hope its good.

I picked up 2012 and WTWTA at Target on my way into work this morning. They had plenty of the 3 (possibly 4

) disc special editions with the Discovery channel documentary in stock. I think they are expecting a big sales day

The Target link does not show the current inventory for local stores. I just hope when I arrive at 2pm EST. They will still have them.
