I see the sale is ending in a few days so I'm going to put an order in. Couple quick questions.
What's the best option for feet? Hourglass on carpet? Spikes on riser? Spikes on blocks as a cheap alternative? Thanks. |

Getting the sub on a riser is the best option for any sub, and whether you wanted to use hourglass feet or spikes on it is up to you. I prefer spikes
The last time eD claimed the "sale" would end, it never happened. That was almost a year ago IIRC, so who knows. Either way, I'd order now and you'll be rockin your house even sooner ![]() |

You can either make a riser or order one, and so you know eD makes a riser you just have to ask them. and they can make it to spec of the a2-300

I would not count on the fact that they didn't raise the price last year. I feel confident they will do it this year, for several reasons. A2-300 production lead-time is now up to around 6 weeks. The sheer volume of orders has also slowed production on other items. They are faced with outsourcing or downscaling, because they simply can't grow with the pace that is being set. The additional price-point is more reflective of the demand curve and the fact that their equlibrium is out of whack; by raising the price they will slow down sales, which will help out production without significant loss of revenue in the short run.
I say pull the trigger now, if you can. Definitely worth it at either price, but why pay more if you don't have to? Also, spikes or hourglass are up to you. Spikes are intended for carpet while hourglass is intended for hardwood or tile. However, as others have mentioned, even with carpet the spikes can penetrate to the concrete slab below. A riser is a good option for alleviating that issue as well as isolation-related issues. Good choice of sub, BTW. ![]() ![]() |

But there are rules you must follow. It's actually in the fine print when you purchased your sub...you probably missed it. They are: 1) Pics!!! (or it never happened) 2) You must "skidoosh" at least once with the new sub 3) Piss off the wife / GF 4) Add a 2nd A2-300 sub! ![]() ![]() |
