Cool! They'll sound great! I can't wait to read that first excited post after you've got them hooked up. (Not to mention the pics)

+1

I'm extremely happy with my RC-50's and I only have 15-20hrs on them. I just ordered the matching RC-10's, should be here sometime this week.

Finally found someone who has a good quality C-C100 !! I am looking forward to hooking it up and getting rid of the mini-center !

I am going to notice a huge difference in my timbre-matching ??
I currently have C-500 L/R.

BIG TIME!!! I went from a C-C50 to a C-C100 and could tell the difference. You will be very happy. How much did you get it for?

Definitely. The front sound stage will flow more seamlessly now. You'll have fuller sound running through the center from side to side. Don't forget to re-run any calibrations you may have done before (receiver, SPL meter, etc.).

Pretty sure I overpaid, but for $120; I really wanted the speaker to complete my front soundstage. Also, the gentleman who sold it seems to have had his setup calibrated very well, so I can be fairly assured that the speaker hasn't been puchsed past its limits.

Now to figure out who wants a gently used Mini-center

I will definitely be recalibrating. I just purchased a projector so I am making some changes... Change is good !

Not to bad at all. I paid $100 for mine that was used 4 months and it looks brand new

I hope my BD experience will be a step up. Just like when I set up the C-200 speakers during Christmas.
I ordered it since this past Sunday. It's approaching a week. They still have not deduct my money out of my checking account. Has anyone dealt with superiorhifi.com? Maybe the C-C100 are on hold or something like that

I went out and listened to a bunch of speakers yesterday. I heard kef c series polk rtis and some def techs at 6th ave. Then i went to a small shop that had the energy rc-30s. They were by far the best i heard. All the others seemed alot brighter and lacked the bass the energys had. Problem is i think the 30s are to small for my apt and the 50s are out of my budget. How much of a sound quality difference is there between the rc and cf lines. Seems like alot of the price difference is from the better finish.

Also how do the energys compare to psbs or elemental designs. Im really looking for a warm sound. Room is 12w x 16d with hard wood floors. thanks

It seems from reading that the PSB's and eD's are warm like the Energy's. It may be tougher to gage a true feel as how well they will sound until you get them home in your environment because you have hardwood floors which will create alot of reflection but can be softened with acoustic treatments and area rugs.

deathjester,

erict is right (and his suggestions are excellent), you will get some reflection from the hardwood floors, some of which will also be corrected by your receiver calibration. Once the calibration is done and you've fine tuned the sub placement and settings, the system will sound fine.

I couldn't speak to the sound of the ED's or PSB's, but if you're looking for warmth, I know the RC-30's will give you what you want. The I think the one defining difference between the CF and RC lines (from what I've read in reviews and first hand accounts) is the warmth of the RC's over the CF's. And like you said, the finish on them is awesome too.
