Exclamation SM Trilogy vs. Transformers at Amazon.com

Spider-man Trilogy

Transformers

Not sure if the Trilogy is going to keep up with Transformers based on rank the past 90 days between the two; at least on Amazon.

Not sure how to post images. Someone else may if they'd like.

Blu-ray has a much larger hardware base than HD-DVD.....

It will VERY dissapointing if the Spider-Man box-set + Spider-Man 3 doesn't clearly outsell Transformers.......

Spiderman, like Transformers, won't sell to the gamers crowd. I doubt anyone with a PS3 will buy it.

Whatever you think of the movie, Spiderman 3/Trilogy will sell more than 300.

i liked the first 2 movies but i thought the third one was terrible! it will probably outsell transformers HDDVD but do you actually think spiderman was a better movie than transformers?

SM3 was fair, the first two were better. But I also thought TF was just a little above fair. The SM3 trilogy + SM3 should defeat TF easily.

I really liked FF1, in the theater and on DVD and with the extended cut. But watching FF2 in the theater, I was only so-so regarding how I felt about it; *however*, watching FF2 at home on my new Sony 60A3000, I *really*, *really* liked FF2 the second time around in BLU.

It may very well be the same with Spidey3. Some movies underwhelm (or overwhelm) on the Big Screen, but are just right on the small(er) screen, at home.

It may not show up as high on Amazon, because when it first came out on amazon it was about $20 more than other websites and I think more people pre-ordered it elsewhere including me. It did eventually come down in price on amazon.

I wonder what the effect of having two skus will have on numbers. I can see alot of spin coming from fanboys if neither one beats Transformers first week alone.

Discalimer: I love all 3 spiderman, a true feat of Sam Raimi.

This being said, After the excellent initial presentation of Peter Parker (the classic origins), the confrontation with the Green Goblin (and the design of the Goblin as well) were kind of a miss for me.
But part 2 ... Whoa (in the immortal words of Neo). To this day, I still think this is the best Super Hero movie bar none (and yes, including Batman Begins).
Spiderman 3 was slightly disapointing in comparison, but I do like it better than #1 actually, while to me all 3 are very good vehicules for our favorite man-spider.

I honestly think that SM3 took mroe flak than it should have -because- of how good #2 was. And as for Blu-Ray sales, be it because you are a fan of the movies, or want a complete collection, or want a demo-level DVD, I seriously think we have a TF -sales level title here. So will PotC:AWE, which was the only #3 title of the summer who didn't disappoint me in some ways ( I found Shrek3 to be abysmal after Shrek 2).
