Not bad visuals, but the story was just alright.

There is something about his style that never leaves me saying "OK, lets advance the story already". He seems to be able to blend the action with the progression of the story in a very synchronised way.

I agree. I like dude and his films. Yea u can call most of them popcorn flicks or so, but if its entertaining and if its sumthin u enjoy then Im all for it. I am a big fan of his Godzilla film. I know I will like 2012 also. Got Em!!

I actually really enjoyed this. I thought it was well made and some parts were creepy. Im not sure if i believe it was real but i still thought it was pretty creepy.

for some reason, The Patriot stands out to me, way and above the others.

I also had a big problem with how over-the-top Bohemian the family was. Sure, lots of families have unique characters, some have inter-racial or mixed religion marriages. But it seemed like every character was a stereotype eccentric. And the emotional health and relationships were over done. Type-A extreme vs codependant extreme. Dysfunstional family to an all new level. To me it felt unrealistic.

Ahh gotcha. We agree more times than we disagree, but I still have to view the film myself at some point.
