having a nice big selection of movies is great for having friends over... we can pick a genre we want to watch that night and have an oppurtunity to narrow things down from there... rather than say, it's this movie tonight we say well, what do you feel like, something scary, something funny, something kaboomy, something nasty, something involving fat hairy men wearing panties, etc...

The fact that you don't count that as scary or funny or nasty is quite frankly, scary.
