Great (if expected) news about The Leopard
$50 SRP though...ouch. And I think by far the worst Blu-ray cover so far; the title looks completely out of place.

Darn it, I was really hoping for NO BLU-RAY Left Behind program to work. I hate seeing DVD only releases.

Very excited for the Blu ones announced but no Carol Reed release hurts.

Regular DVD is getting 5 new releases. So far not all of them are posted to the Blu-Ray page. Hopefully they get added.

Interesting - looks like Mystery Train may be Blu-Ray only.

Mike Wazowski would be thrilled.

I am stuck at work anyone to view the cover art... anyone able to e-mail me the cover art images even for the DVD releases also? if so Jack.Holstein@mckesson.com :-)

The Carol Reed DVD release looks like it could be a fun film, man a Blu for that would've been so cool. I am happy with The Leopard and Red Desert.

Yes, it would be disappointing if there were 3 Blu-ray non-releases

Night Train to Munich I wish would be Blu bound, but I am so thrilled The Leopard will be released as a two disc set, not everything crammed on one disc.

[Show spoiler]It felt much more personal to me. If they tried to encapsulate the conflict, it could have easily becomre cumbersome and convoluted. IMO, by keeping the conflict confined to soley the prisoners and guards it was able to generate considerable emotional resonance.

Why did they have to change the cover art on the blu-ray of The Leopard? The older, darker DVD cover looked a million times better.

C'mon, PP... can your impatience not withstand the wait until you get out of work?

Is it contractual reasons or something else that makes Criterion do the dvd only releases now?

what's the significance of these 3 films? most of the release batches in the past i've known about and have owned the ones i want (like May's announcements) but June's mystifies me. i'm afraid i have no idea what those 3 films are about.
