so will the trilogy also count as a sale for spiderman 3? or is the trilogy sale separate? if it counts as a spidey 3 sale then I think trans will be dethroned.

Spiderman Trilogy/Spiderman 3 are going to sell well in the first week.Spiderman was one of the main reason I got Bluray and i sure as hell will be buying the trilogy this tuesday.I have a really good feelling overall about blu lately.

Well, they will be tracked separately by Nielson, but Sony will undoubtedly combine the two sales figures when they issue their press release stating that SpiderMan 3 was the fastest selling HD disc yet. I just hope Sony sticks to the Nielson figures and doesn't pull a Paramount and inflate the number to ridiculous proportions.

I believe when studios release sales numbers they do so including all versions of the movies, be it movie only widescreen, movie only full screen, special edition etc. I am sure Tranformers included their movie only edition and special edition and the special Tranforming box only at Target in their numbers to reach 8 million or whatever it was.

Did paramount argue the 115k vs 190k figures? Could the 75k difference be walmart/amazon? It's an honest question, I have no idea...

amazon is counted and no way Wal Mart sold 60-65% (75k) of what BB,CC, amazon Target sold...no way.

Thank you. I read a lot of the comments at engadgethd and a lot of people say the neilsen numbers do not include walmart and amazon so I wanted some clarification.
