Jones was married and had two children, the coroner said.

"Apparently he did not see nor hear the plane," Allen said. "The plane was basically gliding."

Plane lost it's propeller, the engine blew, spraying oil all over the windshield, so the pilot couldn't see and the plane was essentially a silent glider.

This is why I do my running on my treadmill. Much less chance of falling planes hitting me.

That's a crazy story. Hilton head is near my old stomping grounds aka Parris Island. You'd figure the pilot would have tried to avoid the runner lol.

oil was sprayed all over the windshield and the pilot couldn't see.

What are the odds though? Getting killed by a plane while running on the beach. It's gotta be 1 in a trillion. You'd have a better chance of a shark eating you on the beach than a plane taking you out.

I agree. It's situations like this that make me believe when it's your time, there's not much you can do about it.
