7.1 audio track problems with several movies - Blu-ray Forum

How true is it that several titles have bad 7.1 audio tracks. I read somewhere that Hellboy ll, Pans labyrinth, shootem up have some type of bad audio tracks and they don't play properly on some bluray players. I have all of these movies, but the only one i recently played was hellboy ll and now that i think of it the two back speakers were louder than the side surrounds.

before, the ps3 couldnt process the 7.1 flag in shoot em up. it was encoded differently. they corrected the issue and it plays correclty. is that what your talking about? it shouldnt be an issue with newer players

neither hellboy or shoot em up sounded bad to me...

Yes, that sounds like the problem. I will be watching shoot em up soon on my sony bluray player soon, so we will see.

let me add that the issue i was talking about refers to zero audio from the 6th and 7th channel from certain dts ma titles.
