I've seen tons of bands live, but the most recent show that I really enjoyed was seeing Skinny Puppy a few months ago. Ogre was dressed in all white and he kept changing into these really bizarre masks throughout the course of the show, everything from ghost mask to a KKK hood to what looked like a fencer's mask made out of shaving cream. Meanwhile, the entire stage was awash with psychedelic images from a powerful projector. I don't know when they'll tour again, but definitely try and see them if you want an unforgettable audio/visual experience.

Both shows were excellent - mind bomb in two different venues. His "girlfriend" tried to push me out of the way and said in a very condescending tone "I'm his girlfriend" I pushed back and said "well I paid to be here". It was a rockin' good time.

Do they still set their instruments on fire and play them at the same time? My friend saw them do that when they played the Family Values Tour and said it was the craziest thing he'd seen in his life.

My first show was Kiss & Judas Priest in 1979. Over 30 years of shows, so there's no way I can remember all of them. Some of the other highlights would be:
Van Halen 1982 & 2007 Ted Nugent 1983 & 2008 Blue Oyster Cult 1982 was the first time, there's been at least a half-dozen other times since Pantera opening for Wrathchild America in 1991(?) & at least 5 times after Damageplan three days before Dime got shot Slayer 1987, 1991 & 2004 Megadeth at least 9 times, first show in 1986 Rolling Stones at the Carrier Dome on the VooDoo Lounge tour Stevie Ray Vaughn don't remember the year Aerosmith during the short lived Jimmy Crespo era Static-X 4x Metallica 1989, 1995 & 2009 Machine Head 6x Fear Factory 4x Iron Maiden World Piece & Somewhere In Time tours Type O Negative 4x The Up In Smoke Tour with Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg & Ice Cube Cheap Trick & UFO 1981 UFO again in 1983, Cheap Trick again in 2008 Corrosion Of Conformity 2x Slipknot Marilyn Manson Smells Like Children Tour Korn ZZ Top Nine Inch Nails 2x <---Incredible shows! Doobie Brothers 2x in 2009 Bad Company Twisted Sister 2x And although I was never a fan, I saw Bon Jovi 2x as an opening act ![]() |

awesome! You going to "All Good" this year? It's always a good time...... The wife and I are trying to justify it....... either way, my 2 year old is going to his second Phish show in June, and my 4 month old (Who will be 7 months then I guess) is going to her first........... one big happy Phamily!!!!
We also took him to this really cool park type place outside of Pittsburgh to see YMSB when he was still just crawling..... it was awesome... you could bring lawn chairs, coolers, etc..... and it was a free concert..... It's called "Hartland Acres" or "Heartland Acres" or something like that....... I guess they do different free-shows every summer...... very family friendly....... I only got to see 2 Dead shows..... so I'm making sure my kids get to experience all they can now! |
