To loose either Spielberg or Bay would hurt them tremendously. Then what are their options?

Mr. Burns: Get me Steven Spielberg.
Smithers: He's unavailable.
Mr. Burns: Then get me his non-union Mexican equivalent.
-----
Mr. Burns: OK, Spielbergo, I want you to do for me what Spielberg did for Oskar Schindler.
Sr. Spielbergo: Schindler es muy bueno, Senor Burns es el diablo.

Now I don't speak Mexican, but I know he is saying that Schindler is good and Mr. Burns is the devil. Gotta love it!

It is. I wont support them either. Its different with Uni, they've been exclusive from day 1. But Paramount decided that screwing over their customers was worth 150million. They obviously dont need my money anymore.

I'm starting to agree with your statement more and more. "Let the consumers decide." Well, you know what? We did decide. We bought Paramount/Dreamworks BDs 2 to 1 over HD DVD. And they switched anyway. The more I think about that, the more it pisses me off.

a few hundred thousand (if that) out of millions of movie buyers. I would have taken the money too if I were Paramount. Not like we won't buy it in 13 months anyway.

Random note: I was in LA for the weekend with my fiance, and we drove around Hollywood (so she could see Mann's Theatre, Hollywood sign, etc.). Heading back to the hotel, we happened past a studio, by the looks of the 10 ft. walls surrounding it.

Finally got near an entrance, and noticed it was Paramount. So I told them they were number one *cough*, and yelled out "***k you, Paramount."

My fiance then replied "what the hell was that about."

"Erm, nothing."

"Is this another of your geek things? *sigh* You are sad."

Tell her the whole Paramount debacle. If she really understands you, she'd ask you to drive by the lot again and make an F statement to Paramount herself.
