Default Films that only work one time?

I'm sure all of you experienced it before. You watch and movie and think it's perfect. Then the second time around you find out that it's not so great anymore, but only mediocre. What are your films that are only good the first time around?

The second this question was asked one word popped into my head: Titanic.

I love the Sixth Sense, but it will never be as powerful as the first time you see it.

It's weird. First time I watch Sixth Sense I loved it and the first time I saw Signs I thought it was merely an ok film. Yet Signs seems to get better everytime I watch it and Sixth Sense just gets more boring. Shyamalan films are weird like that.

For me it's Brainscan. Loved it immensely the first time. I catched it on TV and I was on the edge of my seat. It was just so thrilling and intense, very suspenseful. But the second time it was just mediocre at best. I still like the movie, its ideas, Edward Furlong, Frank Langella and its soundtrack, but the suspense's gone completely

So to me it was a one-time-thrill-ride.

I might catch some flack for this one but I'll add Saving Private Ryan. Ya, it's a very good movie, but for me the replay value isn't very good. The first time you see the opening scene of the film you are absolutely floored by the graphic realism of the D-Day depiction and the action scenes of the film.

But after seeing it the first time the story and action (minus the opening scene) don't hold my interest very well.

For replay value I always preferred the other major WWII movie of 1998 The Thin Red Line to Saving Private Ryan. It's a very overlooked film.

Braveheart is another really good movie that didn't have a lot of replay value for me.

ill give you that. first time i saw it was in the theater, second time on blu ray at home. sounded great however i thought there was gonna be more
LFE when that plane crashed, it had everything else just seemed a bit bass shy. now the scene where that kid looked out the window that was freaky deaky in surround. after watching it a few times its lost its newness at least to me. btw forgive my typing im a one handed typer for the next 6 weeks. now if anyone wants some real gore i could post pics of my Lh lol.

I've seen it twice, and I loved it even more the second time around. It's my favorite Woody Allen movie.
