Totally agree with you Mike, although I will be buying them and am ok with them being better than the DVDs this is LOTR's and what some people have said are what Blu-ray were made for! We want the best for the best not some half job

The problem with "better than DVD": you could milk marginal improvements for the lifespan of the format. Accept nothing but "no room for improvement"

They really dropped the ball on this IMO, as far as the packaging is concerned.

I think the packaging is great, beats the tri-colored DVD cases for the DVD TEs.

I would have actually loved if we got a red, blue and green case for the trilogy.

But I definitely like what we got instead.

I wouldn't mind 3 different colored cases. As long as it was in 3 cases I'm happy.

You think? I'd love some digi-packs like BOB or John Adams. It looks too plain with no artwork on the inside but that's WB for ya.
