Talking I Caught The HD Monster With His Hands In The Blu Jar!!

So, yesterday I was over at the BX buying a I Pod Nano and Bose I Pod Docking station (yea I know SWEEET ) Anyway, I was waking past the TV's and they had Spidey playing. The sale rep was telling these two airmen to go with HD because as they can see Blu quality is bad blah, blah blah... So, I cut him off and said "how can you make that statement about Blu Ray when you're playing the regular formatted SM3 move in a Blu Ray player? Are you selling the SM3 on Blu Ray?" he said they weren’t selling it and that they had a promotional Blu Ray Spider Man for display only. I said, I want to see the disc, he looked at me like I was crazy...bent over to get the disc and low and behold it was the regular SM3! The two airmen laughed and walked away...I filled a complaint with the manager about the misleading sales tactic her clerk was doing. As you may know, military BX employees don't know crap about electronics and they definitely aren’t supposed to lead the military community to go one way or another.

If an Exchange employee was written up everytime a customer complained, there wouldn't be any employees left.

Yea, but he knew it was a regular dvd he was playing! The manager told me that they were going to crack open a blu movie and use it as a display (she didn't say which movie) sometime this week but seeing how spiderman was a new release they would show it for two days to help increase sales. She agreed he should not have done it and would correct the matter.

As a member of the Air National Guard and BX shopper, I am rather embarressed about this story.

Military personell are known for being highly trained and intelligent. That attitude is SUPPOSED to carry over into anything which is run by AAFES (Army & Air Force Exchange Service) civilians. At least, it is expected of civilian employees.

What a tool. Glad you were there to correct the situation and humiliate the low life sales person.

Wow, for 10 bucks each I'd pick up a few more. Now I can hardly wait until next drill weekend.

You have to be military, or a dependant.

Wow! Sales people are always trying to convince others to purchase an inferior product. Thanks for saving the day!
