Fantastic news!!! I get so much more dissapointed when a movie has great PQ and subpar audio quality than movies with a tad DNR (usually heavily over-exagerated to begin with) and fantastic audio quality

What happened to this thread?

Now it's all about the movie? :-)

This is much easier to read - and enjoy.
Thanks to the Mods - I'm sure.

Can't wait until Tuesday. I can hear the main theme (probably the one from the menu's).

Just my 2 cents. BTW I'm not getting LOTR and again I'm not sticking up for it.
I tend to believe the man who has the BD and took the time to post a 10 minute review.

That guy on a horse on the other side of the valley has DNR on the thread on a button of his coat. And one of his whiskers is overly sharp. My life is ruined.

I thought we were talking about LOTR not AJJBCRF.

So those movie's soundtracks contained the "yellow note"? Rumor has it that PJ inserted the "brown note" in the BR release of LOTR.

And: This coming monday night at midnight I am going to the Wal-mart where I work part time in the evenings as a 2nd job, and I am going to use my employee discount to buy the LOTR BR.

I might take leave the next day and watch all 3.

Has anyone seen 1 LOTR coming to Blu-ray commercial?

I have not seen 1. Do you find it weird that there is no advertisements for a title this big?

Yeah I like these movies so much I will blow my entire day off pretty much just to see them and then see them 1 a weekend over the next 3 weeks with my father on his Bravia. These and a Nightmare on Elm Street will probably be the only movies coming out in April I don't wait for a price drop for.

Yes. Maybe Warner figures word-of-mouth is doing a good enough job that they don't need to spend money advertising. Maybe they are saving that money to do a perfect remaster for the EEs.

HAH! Sometimes I crack myself up.

The sudden change of positive has got me excited for the Blu-Rays! Sorry, I am still going to rent them first because I dunno how many more times I will watch them until the EE's come out...

This a BIT of a strange question but I got a new sub and having probs finding the right balance. Some Blu-Rays sound perfect and others sound too bassy/boomy. Would LOTR Blus be a good "standard" or "5 star audio" to tweak my sound system to? Does this make sense?
