Bungie Considering Making a PS3 Game

If this is true that Bungie is going to make a PS3 game it will be the best move for Bungie even though MS has the rights for Halo. In other interviews Bungie states that it's moving away from Halo and is making another first person shooting game and this one might come to the PS3.






This would be the logo in case Bungie makes the official switch to PS3.

Naaa, I'm pretty certain they're serious about this. I hope its a new Marathon game they're developing (probably with the Mac as the lead platform, like old times) Seeing as they just registered another trademark for it.

with this being a possibility i would like to see how the graphics would look like on a ps3 and all the special features all on one disc rather than the two discs that bungie had to make to bring halo: odst & soon to be released halo: reach with two discs

Microsoft doesn't own Bungie, but they do own Halo.

You are not alone. Oni on the PS2 is great.. It has insanely long load times but other than that the gameplay (beat m up with gunplay) is fantastic. Massive environments ( a bit bland but cool designs). A PS3 game with the same gameplay would be sweet. I honestly don't care if it is the "Oni" name though as it doesn't need the same story or anime style. The core engine rocks and could be refined to be much better.

If they make a game then I hope its a Marathon game.
I hope they make it and maintain the same atmosphere as the old Marathon games. I only played Marathon 2 Durandal on the PC. Such good memories.

It's not the outside of the possibility of them releasing a game for the ps3. We all know for sure it won't be Halo (as someone has already stated that MS owns the rights to the game and I don't know how they pulled that off). For all we know, it could be a brand new IP for the PS3 (which wouldn't be a bad thing). Since they are now 3rd party, they can release games for any platform they choose (outside of Halo).

They were saying and hinting that the protaganist in Marathon was none other than Master Chief. As a matter of fact a achievment on Halo 3 was called Marathon Man and it had to do with activating these terminals very similair to the ones you activated in Marathon. Could be a re-boot for Master Chief.

Thats why I put Halo in quotes. There could be some loop hole where Bungie still has the right to Marathon and thus its protaganist Master Chief, and will be able to put him in a new Marathon game, so essentally PS3 owners could get a "Halo" game. Of course it would be called something different. You could be playing as Master Chief most likley in space, against aliens, to save the world. Sound like Halo to me.

Now the thing that really would get me worked up is if they will totally utilize the PS3s power. PS3 exclusives have spoiled me. I have the new Splinter Cell pre-ordered and played the demo, now it doesn't look horrible in its own right but compared to PS3 exclusives it does.
