I finally watched Chicken Little last night. For the first time it had me wondering how anything could possibly be better. Incredibles, Cars and Rats just might do it. Funny how animation appears to code up better - perhaps it's the lack of grain. When I met Amir last year, he said reproducing grain (random, constantly changing fine detail) represented a significant overhead to the codec - not good news for HDDVD I would have thought. Maybe that's why the better CGI animations tend to make the best HD show-off material - all the bits get used on the wanted video material. Sorry, I'm not a fan of grain. I don't think HT should recreate a movie theatre. I think it should try to recreate the real thing.

That's because you keep posting all over the place! I'm looking at threads and new responses and they are mostly from you....

Yes, Pixars are all incredible (no pun intended). By the way, I'm still trying to decide what I should watch first on my Sony LCD KDL-46XBR4 arriving on Thursday. I'm leaning towards Chicken Little.

enjoy

On Saturday, I watched Meet the Robinsons and Chicken Little back to back. Now I am just waiting for Rat to arrive on Tuesday. Waiting impatiently that is.

Unfortunately this doesn't work. I tried the other day. You can pre-order the BDs but the $5 off is only good for DVDs. Makes no damn sense but there you have it.

I SECOND THAT I cannot wait, this movie was amazing for a kids movie, basicly they took the theory of "what would you do if you had super powers" and went crazy. Great picture for kids and adults, will be a huge BlU

I downloaded some of them from iTunes a while back. Some of them are classics! I especially like For The Bird's and Geri's Game with the game of chess. I also remember Red's Dream about a unicycle that would never sell and oen about a girl with a penny and two rival one-man band players both performing infront of her trying to get the penny! Can't remember what it's called though. I think Pixar did abotu 12 of these and they last for about 4 minutes each so I hope this Blu-ray is going to be quite cheap otherwise I don't think it's worth it, despite some of them being good.

Do NOT trust amazon on this! I have contacted my supplier but he hasn't got Ratatouille in stock yet so he can't confirm. Expect it to be Region A though, it's a Day-and-Date release

I also am extremely excited for next Tuesday. Ratatouille was an amazing film and the Pixar Shorts disc should be very fun and great demo material.

I pre-ordered Ratatouille at Best Buy a week or so ago when they had 35% off all Disney titles. Grabbed "Aladdin" (the only DVD I've gotten in the past year!) since it's about to go out of print. It was $14.99 at 25%off, and I got an extra $5 off for pre-ordering Ratatouille on Blu. $9.99 for Aladdin Plat. edition... too good to pass up!
