Wouldnt that be a kicker.
2 hours of integrated additional scenes, plus whatever extras are included, is hardly nothing.

I wouldn't give a rat's arse which of the two versions has the better PQ, I don't like the theatric cuts half as much as I like the extended cuts. They're a better movie.

I've already watched these films, both theatrical and extended SEVERAL times and also went to the ROTK launch where we watched all EEs and then ROTK all in one day. I am not going to buy/watch the theatricals when I can just wait a few more years and get the EEs. I am hoping they will have the branching or different options to watch it in different ways... if not, oh well, I will buy whatever version seems best then.

I am not putting ALL hope that the EE versions will be the ultimate PQ, etc etc but I am in no rush to watch them OVER and OVER.

Honestly, I've only seen the Extended versions of Fellowship and Two Towers, so to watch the theatrical versions would feel more like the edited-for-TV versions. Return of the King I saw in the theater and honestly, I was pissed that we were supposed to just assume that Sauramon was already dead at the beginning.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but for me, watching the theatricals several times and then watching ALL EE's, is a new experience. If you read the books, the EE's are awesome. I think the EE's are the complete experience.. especially ROTK..

Does the package with the sword still have the regular Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray Package inside the box?

i'm pretty sure that the FOTR will be better than the DVD. and the other 2 according to most look very good so why not. a movie like FOTR doesnt need all the wows to woo me over since it's so good plot wise and character wise. true fans of the movie will prolly forget about the PQ once it gets going.

I'm with you there. Anything else just looks small. Compared to the 73 our 47 looks paltry, dinky almost. Not quite stinky dinky though

Don't they have to put the package on a truck first?

You're a bigger buzz kill than Buzz Killington.

It's already on the truck, I willed it with my mind. Anticipation does wonders.

I got one out of the box in the back. It scanned at $69.99. I think the official price will drop by Tuesday. Wal-mart's website has it at $63.99. I have to wait five days before the system will let me buy it.
