Sutter always a man to speak his mind:

Kurt Sutter -- f*** me. frank darrabont just stole one of my editors. such a c*nt move. disrespectful, arrogant and no regard for how business is done. i hope the zombie apocolypse pays off because karma is a b**ch, baby.

I need a Sons of Anarchy fix.
Quote:
Don't we all? Unfortunately, Kurt Sutter just headed back into the writers' room and would only tell us this of season three:
[Show spoiler]"I have a baby to find, and that's all I know." As for Gemma's future as an outlaw, Katey Sagal doesn't seem too worried. "I don't think it will alter the family bond, but there are so many things that have to be addressed," she explains. "Gemma obviously doesn't know what's happened to her grandson, and she'll probably go insane when she finds out. I wouldn't put anything past her. I'm sure she'll take care of business."

Awesome damn news!! As some of you who read my post a few weeks ago about how much I wanted Kenny Johnson to come back for season 3, so read this killer news bit from Sutter. I have been waiting very impatiently for casting news to come down this month since they will begin shooting very soon, and the most important casting news to me, just happened to be the first thing posted! Now if they could just get Robert LaSardo to be a Mayan!

Quote:
Kenneth Johnson, who had a small role in the "Sons of Anarchy" Season 2 finale, will be back for the show's third season, which arrives in September on FX. He'll once again play Kozik from the Tacoma chapter in six episodes of Season 3. Johnson played Lem on "The Shield" and was also a member of the cast of "Saving Grace."

The latest blog from Sutter:

Quote:
Anyway, season three is shaping up, the premier is written and I'm finishing up a draft of 302 this weekend. We begin production in five weeks and I hope to have two more scripts done by the time we start. I've met with all the actors and everyone is eager to get back to work.

You may have read in the trades this week that we signed on Kenny Johnson for six episodes. I'm really excited about working with KJ again. We established his character, Kozik, in episode 212 last season. He's a Tacoma-based Son who has a history with Tig and the Redwood Originals. We are in the process of making deals with four other guest stars. Some returning, some new. I will keep folks posted.

SOA is my 2nd favorite show of all time next to the shield, im glad FX is sticking with it (SOA season 1 did pretty poor in ratings, season 2 did fantastic) im hoping it gets picked up again for a 4th and atleast 5th season

besides this show i have nothing to watch on TV (besides southland and lost which lost is ending and southland might end) and of course justified

I have a very very very strong feeling that Kurt Sutter's 7 year plan for Sons with be fully recognized and seen, and after the ratings that Justified earned in it's premiere last night, it too will be around for a long time to come.

Any word on when season 2 will be available on Blu-ray, or when FX will start replaying season 2?

Just started watching this series not too long ago. I'm four episodes into the first season and totally digging it. Definitely looking forward to Season Two on Blu...hopefully Fox doesn't decide to drop their support of blu for future seasons...

I've mentioned this several times already but it will be August. Every season will be released August and the new season will premiere first week of September. No idea when they will replay the season though, maybe July they will air 2 episodes on Saturday nights again.

Four episodes??? You have got A LOT more digging to do. The first season great as it was, gets it's ass beat by the second season. I don't know how Sutter did it, but he managed to make a great show even better.

After getting the one piece of casting news that I'd been waiting for since December, that Kenny Johnson was signed for half this season I am beyond excited. I can't wait to see who else Sutter gets!

become part of the season 2 dvd

Quote:
we are doing a roundtable forum as one of the dvd extras for season 2 of sons of anarchy. It'll be an on-camera free-for-all. Me and the cast from the show in the chapel, talking shit and answering questions.

Your questions.

I am going to select random questions from readers of this blog and friends and fans on facebook and twitter. I have set up an email account, questions@sutterink.com. Please only submit your question there, i cannot accept them on my blog, facebook or twitter. In your email, please include one question only, the name you would like to be identified by (because i will read it in the taping) and a return email address. The query can be about anything related to the show, cast or crew. You can submit as many emails as you want, but please only one question per email. The more obscure and uncomfortable the question, the better. I will notify folks by email and probably need you to sign a waiver to use the question and say your name on camera.

The deadline is soon -- friday, april 9th. Pass it on.

Thanks.

The ratings review of this article is astounding, I knew they broke some records but didn't realize just how many and how big the numbers were!!

Motorcycle drama Sons of Anarchy stars rumble through USO tour

Quote:
Stars from the hit motorcycle drama changed out of their worn leathers and into attire more suited for the Persian Gulf as they visited American troops on a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour.

Leaving the fictional town of Charming, four cast members from the FX original series “Sons of Anarchy”, Dayton Callie (Chief Unser), Theo Rossi (Juice), Mark Boone Junior (Bobby) and Kim Coates (Tig) wrapped up an eight day tour that included Camp Arifjan, Camp Taji and Joint Base Balad in Kuwait and Iraq.

Judging from the pictures appearing in the USO’s official publication the tour was remarkable, and not just for the more than 2,000 service men and women the stars entertained. They are pictured signing a table modeled after one seen in the Sons of Anarchy clubhouse, with the chapter being listed as that of Kuwait featured in the picture.

“I loved every moment of this trip, from being in the desert meeting service members to sharing this experience with my cast mates,” Kim Coates explained, noting the actors came to Iraq to show their support for service members overseas, “I know that each of us walked away from our USO experience with a greater sense of how much these young men and women sacrifice on a daily basis. I can’t wait to do it again!”

The four actors came riding into the Persian Gulf with the winds of a successful second season behind them. The hard-hitting motorcycle drama, 'Sons of Anarchy' averaged 4.5 million total Viewers, with those coming from 3.16 million Adults 18-49 and 1.98 million men 18-49. Competitively, Sons of Anarchy ranked as the most watched basic cable scripted series of the year in the male age bracket of 18-49 and second most watched by adults 18-49.

But where Sons of Anarchy rode away with viewing numbers was in the growth of viewers. Achieving numbers never seen before with either cable or broadcast television, Sons of Anarchy showed the largest season-to-season growth in adults ages 18-49 with 81 percent more people tuning in and 80 percent increase in males 18 to 49. The total number of viewers for the show grew 72 percent.

With the servicemen and women falling squarely among the show's most popular demographics, the four actors signed autographs, held meet and greets and posed for photos.

Theo Rossi said he was humbled by the experience. “We are a country at war, if you watch the news you know that. But this trip wasn’t about the war. It was about the troops and letting them know that they aren’t forgotten and that we appreciate the sacrifices they make every day.”

“Thank you to the men and women who serve this country and thank you to the USO for making this trip happen,” Dayton Callie said, seemingly summing up the groups feelings, “I honestly don’t know what else to say, this was an experience of a lifetime and I am so grateful to have been a part of it.”

Paula Malcolmson is going to roll with the "Sons of Anarchy" in the FX show's third season, according to a source close to the show.

Malcolmson, a.k.a. Amanda Graystone on "Caprica" and Trixie on "Deadwood," has signed on for an eight-episode arc in the new season of "Sons of Anarchy." She'll be playing a character named Maureen.

Talk about bias in the media -- I must confess that I'm predisposed to like this character already. And it's not just the name -- Malcolmson brings a feisty energy to all her roles, and I can't wait to see her mix it up with Katey Sagal, Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and the rest of the "Sons" cast.

Production on the third season of "Sons of Anarchy" begins in about three weeks.

That season won't air on FX until September, but a bit more casting news has already leaked out: Kenneth Johnson, who played Lem on "The Shield," will be back in a six-episode arc to reprise his role as the Tacoma chapter's Kozik, a Sons of Anarchy club member who has some kind of twisted history with Tig (Kim Coates).

Nope, and that is something else that makes season 3 so much more exciting! With shooting to start in 3 weeks, we can expect lots of updates and pictures and more casting news very very soon, which is my favorite part of this time of the year.

Rescue Me's season finale will air September 1st, so you could make a pretty fair guess that Sons of Anarchy will return the very next Wednesday on Septemnber 8th, which would keep with it's first week of September rule of the previous 2 seasons, and I wanna say it debuted on the 7th last year.

Question: Do you have any Sons of Anarchy scoop about Jax/Tara for us poor fans who are going through withdrawal? —Lia
Ausiello: SOA’s third season (debuting next fall) will find the star-crossed lovers
[Show spoiler]reeling from the trauma of season 2. “They’re both struggling with who they are as a couple,” reveals series creator Kurt Sutter. “It’s made them both take a step back. It was a reality check and it will impact everything they do throughout the season.”

Question: I am on my hands and knees begging here! Please give me any scoop for Sons of Anarchy! —Nia

As you no doubt heard, Caprica’s Paula Malcolmson is joining the cast for eight episodes as… um… “I don’t want to give too much away,” hedges Kurt Sutter, “but I can tell you that her
[Show spoiler]character’s name is Maureen and she is based in Belfast.”
