Ok I voted for Blu-ray.
Even though some point I do agree with that Blu-ray needs to answer with a machine that is at about the same cost or else this christmas season is going to be lost. The War is on boys and girls and not having a machine at Wal-Mart and Best Buy that is comprable in pricing is going to hurt. |

isn't it kinda a given that the article is biased since it's from NBC and they're Universal so they kinda have to say HD-DVD is winning?
Blu got my vote ! |

you know I am willing to bet even if they sell more hd dvd players, those people will still only buy regular dvds to play in them, because they don't know the difference. and that article's comment of 60% of ps3 users don't know they have a bluray player, well isn't that a positive? sony only needs to launch a pr campaign, the users dont have to buy any new equipment, and with bluray already leading 2 to 1 in sales, who knows maybe they can boost sales by 60% |

Of corse the article is Bias & mostly false such as Warner being HD-DVD exclusive, & as a Blu-Ray fan don't watch that HD format news thing that will air on NBC..............Folks Remember NBC owns Universal an HD-DVD exsculsive company!!!

![]() ![]() "There are no Blu-Ray infidels in HD-DVD. Never!" "My feelings - as usual - we will slaughter them all" "Our initial assessment is that they will all die" "I blame Sony - they are marketing for the Blu-Ray!" "God will roast their stomachs in hell at the hands of HD-DVD." "They're coming to surrender or be burned in their tanks." "No I am not scared, and neither should you be!" "Be assured. HD-DVD is safe, protected" "Who are in control, they are not in control of anything - they don't even control themselves!" "We are not afraid of the Blu-Ray. Allah has condemned them. They are stupid. They are stupid" (dramatic pause) "and they are condemned." "The Blu-Ray, they always depend on a method what I call ... stupid, silly. All I ask is check yourself. Do not in fact repeat their lies." "I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that they have started to commit suicide under the walls of HD-DVD. We will encourage them to commit more suicides quickly." "I can assure you that those villains will recognize, will discover in appropriate time in the future how stupid they are and how they are pretending things which have never taken place." "We have destroyed 2 tanks, fighter planes, 2 helicopters and their shovels - We have driven them back." "The authority of the civil defense ... issued a warning to the civilian population not to pick up any of those pencils because they are booby traps," he said, adding that the Sony and Disney forces were "immoral mercenaries" and "war criminals" for such behavior. "I am not talking about the Blu-Ray people and the Sony people," he said. "I am talking about those mercenaries. ... They have started throwing those pencils, but they are not pencils, they are booby traps to kill the children." "We have them surrounded in their tanks" "The Blu-Ray press is all about lies! All they tell is lies, lies and more lies!" "I have detailed information about the situation...which completely proves that what they allege are illusions . . . They lie every day." "Lying is forbidden in HD-DVD. President Atsutoshi Nishida will tolerate nothing but truthfulness as he is a man of great honor and integrity. Everyone is encouraged to speak freely of the truths evidenced in their eyes and hearts." "Now even the Blu-Ray command is under siege. We are hitting it from the north, east, south and west. We chase them here and they chase us there. But at the end we are the people who are laying siege to them. And it is not them who are besieging us." Hmmm.... could have swore I've heard this dribble before ![]() Last edited by CGYBLU; 11-01-2007 at 10:41 PM. |

It's right after the link in red that says "Margaret Brennan: Wal-Mart's Price Cuts Panic Move Or Smart Biz?" and before the link in red that says "See Update: Best Buy Joins Wal-Mart To Cut HD-DVD Prices"

I sent this
TechCheck, This report is so incredibly biased and ignorant. Where do you get your information? First of all, WB is dual format, Paramount took a $50M payoff to switch for 18 months. The sales figures for Transformers HD DVD are in question. You obviously don’t see the Nielson/VideoScan sales numbers that clearly show Blu-ray sales in the lead at a whopping 60/40 lead. This reporting is a bold-faced lie. You clearly are influenced by Microsoft. The Blu-ray format is clearly a better format. Just ask the heads of Disney, Sony, Fox, Lionsgate, oh yeah, you may want to re-interview Dan Silverberg, VP of High-Definition Media for Warner Home Video. |
