I'm sorry I don't have a link handy, but I read from someone at the top of the foodchain, that James Bond is considered a 'product for the masses' and will therefore NOT be released in a Hi-def format anytime soon (read: until Hi-Def is a mass market).

If BD has a good showing in the next four months, perhaps Casino Royale will be released. Hot new releases sell formats.

Who has the home video distribution rights for the older Bond films? CR is from UA/Columbia, so I presume Sony has CR.

Casino Royale has to be a definite release in the new year - I would think. It's too big a showcase for blu-ray not to be released day and date with the DVD.

You can imagine the marketing now! Exclusive to blu-ray and compatible with PlayStation3...

They already used the Sony BDP-S1 in the movie itself, so I'm pretty sure Casino Royale will be a day and date release.

Just a note for the movie Casino Royale. I saw it in the DLP theather, and yes I could spot some film grain here and there throughout the movie, especially the opening part where they use it as a special effect. Not bad grain, but just mentioning it so when the yahoo's of hd-dvd point it out. Tell them it's part of the master, stupid.
