I've ordered about 5-10 times and I've never been hit with duty. My orders are usually delivered by Royal Mail.

Visa statement was for just over $29 for the order.

Finally just recieved my Battlestar Galactica - The complete series. This took close to 3 weeks, longest I have ever waited but I suspect it's due to the flight disruptions. Don't mind, no duty on the purchase! *knocks on wood*

I have been very lucky, no duty on anything from amazon.uk, this was the largest dollar value so far. Also got the Dirty Harry collection, Band of Brothers all no duty.

Have only watched the fist season of BSG on HD DVD, I'm soooooo lookibng forward to this!!!

Recently ordered a few separate orders - The Goonies, Planet Earth, BoB and a few others - really great prices on many blus at Amazon UK. However, I also ordered Texas Chainsaw Massacre Seriously Ultimate Edition and realized after my order was processed that it may not work in our North American region. From what I've researched, Dark Sky Films had initially released a region-free version of 'TCM Ultimate Edition BR' in the US and at some point decided to switch from region-free to region-locked, so UK buyers who ordered the 2nd batch of the US release couldn't play it. But then Dark Sky released this version in the UK:

I ordered it, but can't seem to find any info on whether or not it will play in Region A. This site says it's Region B and that Regions A and C are "untested". Has anyone purchased this specific one from the UK (the 'Seriously Ultimate' version) and if so, does it work on non-modded North American BD players?

If not, then I guess I'll be receiving a TCM coaster from Amazon UK. Ah well, as long as I don't get dinged on duty for this one, I figured it will be a $10 mistake. Serves me right for ordering this one without proper research...

The Batman Anthology is 17 pounds on Amazon UK right now which is roughly $28 for those interested. It is region free.

I'd really like to know the answer to this too as I was thinking of ordering it myself. I posted in the UK Movies section but noone replied so I guess it hasn't been tried yet. I suppose that makes you the unofficial guinea pig, haha! If you could post your findings in that thread it would be much appreciated!

Will do. I'll test it out once I receive it from Amazon UK and post the results. However, it won't be for awhile since the estimated arrival date is listed as May 18th. I'm also not too optimistic as I'm starting to think it will be Region B only. May have to end up buying the North American one which I'm told is very similar, minus a few additional extras that appear on the UK version. But I'll post the results in the UK Movies section once confirmed.

you can usually check them on bluray.com under the movie lin. or read reviews, it gets mentioned there if any titles are region locked/ b/ etc
