You're wrong. Word of mouth is what had this topple Saw VI in its opening weekend. If people said it sucked then it would not have done as well as it did. I saw it 3 times in theaters and every time people loved it and were actually genuinely scared. The marketing was genius, the whole DEMAND IT angle, but if people were uninterested or didn't speak well of it then that would have never worked. Bottom line is, critics praised it and the majority of the public did as well.

Well, EVENTUALLY it will get a re-release, most titles usually get released at least 2 or 3 times.
But the films that aren't as big will of course take longer to be released again.
I'm also pretty sure that you can be safe with buying the current one,
cause you'll have to wait quite while before another would be out.

Yeah, indeed.
Some people come on threads like "THIS MOVIE SUCKS AND IS WAY OVERRATED!".

And I get warnings from this certain moderator that I'm a "thread-crapper",
while all I do is occasionally complain about ugly artwork
and also ASK something about packaging or something like that.
Which is not as useless as totally ripping on a film for no reason.
Just what the hell?!

Did I just witness a "Your collection sucks" battle? Neat.

Anyways, I don't think we will see another release of this for a while. Some would even argue that it would take away from the (and I hate saying this) "true story" value of it. The movie leads you to believe it is a true story and seeing "Making Of" might detract that for some people. Although it would be fairly interesting if they had a roundtable discussion reflecting on the success of the film.

And just for the hell of it, I didn't care for this movie either. Biggest disappointment of the year for me. But it seems there are a hell of a lot of fans, so I guess there are some out there who love it to death.

I'll be honest and say that i was not very impressed with the movie either. But I did/do like it enough to have bought it on DVD and will buy it on BD when the price drops. In my opinion, the best part of the movie is Katie Featherstone. Just something about her I loved.

You seem to have missed my point. You will never find a post where I call any movie "the worst movie ever", "overrated", "overhyped", or say that something "sucks".
I also own Over the Top. Many people think that sucks. My point is that everybody likes something that somebody else thinks is terrible, so stop visiting threads about movies and posting off topic rants and opinions. If the thread is titled "The Day The Earth Stood Still Sucks ... what do you think?" then go for it. The thread this guy posted in posed the question about a Special Edition release of a movie.
