If you leave the image paused. Regular viewing will eventually degrade the display evenly, just as it did with CRT's. Burn in only occurs with a still image, and for permanent burn-in to occur it takes many hours.

the pannys (panasonic) do not burn in anymore! unless u r stupid to let ur plasma run on the same exact picture for more than 15 hours i still think the panny wont but havent tried for more than 12 hours.

Plasma phosphors does get beat up if image is paused for great lengths of time...Panasonic ,Pioneer ,Samsung have added great features to combat burn-in/Screen retention from occurring as often.If for some reason burn in did appear you would run moving images for an hour and burn in would be gone. |
