I would be able to if two things didn't happen. First if I wasn't greedy and didn't happen to ebay my PS3's. Second would be if my store would let me buy 1 when they came in, however this would lead back to the first problem. I know profiteering is bad mmmkkkk!!! But if some sucker wants to pay $2000-$4000 for a PS3 let them.
One thing IO can tell you is the PS3 runs hotter and the BSP1 is just a sexy machine. Almost as sexy as me.

I will tell you right off the bat that the BSP1 is far better that the PS3 for movies. It runs alot cooler, does freez up, and uses less energy. Also the sound output is better along with over all better PQ. It really does make a difference to have programs and parts for just BD movies and not BD movies, PS1-PS3 games. Over all I am very happy with the sony player and if I get another PS3 it will be on ebay until sony get the bugs out of the system. Some of those PS3 games look pretty sexy. But of now I will just Wii it up.

I have both and totally agree. If you are not interested in the gaming part, the movie experience is much better on the S-1.

I have a BDPS1 that I picked up today.

As far as audio via analog....The Sony is cleaner and a bit fuller sounding than the Philips player.
As far as P/Q....its different than the Philips for sure....but I am not convinced its better just yet.
More comparing to do.....but it seems the Philips is sharper overall so far.

My Optoma H-78 DC3(aka H-79) actually accepts 1080p from the Sony....but its a 720p PJ.
Had to try it for grins though regardless..

I do like the look and build of the Sony better....but prefer the Philips remote.
The Philips reacts to functions quicker...and I believe it also loads a bit quicker.

I have only compared Gone in 60 Seconds and KoH so far....and will report back after a few more days of comparing.
