What other benefits the "waiting" can give for both players and displays?

Besides displaying billions of colors (deep color) to eliminate color banding and other color-based noise, higher contrast ratios, 120Hz refresh rate or other 24fps-friendly rate for "motion artifact"-free movie experience, wirelessHD, longer running times, higher bitrates to completely eliminate artifacts, higher resolution to comply with masters shot on >16mm films
