It works well as a sitcom because the writing is very good (it was good enough to win an Emmy), with the strongest performance attributed to the precocious lead actor Selena Gomez. Unlike anything on TBS, it is genuinely funny.

Yes, I watch it.

Love Wizards of Waverly Place think it's the best thing on Disney since So weird. Very well written and pretty funny most times and Selena only makes it better.

It's weird that you think I'd think it's weird you like Selena. I adore this show a good deal and while it is a show about wizards, I think it has the best portrayal of a family on TV I've seen in quite some time.

Not you but other people on this forum. If I mention I like Selena the next post is always a post saying how that's weird unless I'm close to her in age which I am. I also really like the family dynamic on this show and it got even better in the movie.

I loved the last two episodes, although one has to start to wonder that more people don't realize there are wizards at Alex's school.

Yeah they should start seeing more signs I think. I remember when they were going to have the plot of the first movie about the world finding out about the Russo's being wizards but they went for the Stone of Dreams plot instead. That would have been interesting to see.

Stevie is awesome, she's also doing what I thought she would, driving a wedge between Alex and Harper. Also driving a wedge between Alex and Justin next, I'd imagine.

Yeah and Alex is falling for it so far. Just wonder how she will drive a wedge between Alex and Justin.

She's acting like she doesn't want them to fight but you just know she's going to go after Justin, regardless of how Alex feels about it.

Based on the preview of last Friday's episode (the second one), I think everything will culminate in this Friday's episode. What's better than an evil wizard with ulterior motives?

I don't know, I didn't like that evil wizard family too much, I thought they were over the top cheesy.

Are you referring to the father/son duo from season 2, i.e. the one where Ronald puts Dean in a red gelatin mould?

I sure am, I did like that wizard table tennis game, though.

Disney just announced that Wizards was picked up for a 4th season and work on the second movie is underway. Hope the second makes it to Blu-ray this time.

Yup, 4 seasons for WoWP! Hoping the rest of this season is good, wondering why the episode after tomorrow's is on a Saturday instead of a Friday.
