Hi guys is that important having a TV supporting 24p,did that influence on PQ? because I'm getting the panasonic 58V10 this tv support 24p or should I jump and get the panasonic 65S1 for extra $250 but this tv won't support 24p playback.

I guess you know why its important in theory right? Films are mostly shot in 24p, and TVs (and DVD/Blu-Ray players-have to have both) usually display in 30p or 60i. So, the player is filling in those frames with extra frames of the same image which can cause a stutter. Can you see it? That I guess is an individual question. I initially didn't see much difference with 120hz until watching football. A couple of networks use 720p instead of 1080i because there is less of a stutter effect on fast moving sports images.

It's all about the extra size at that point. I think the V10 is a better TV, more settings, THX mode, 96HZ 24P playback. I use the 48hz 24P playback on my G10 and I think in the scheme of things it is a lot more even picture-in terms of pans and motion.

The type of tv you have also plays an important role. The better processors in the tv the better the picture and it doesn't matter what bd player you have. I'm fortunate to have the Pioneer Elite Kuro Pro-151FD plasma which has a special Film Mode and when set to 'Advance' will upconvert a 1080p/24 source to 1080p/72 cinema for an amazing picture, it's the closest to 3D you can get without it being 3D. Also, Samsung's top of the line model is another great performer.
With those high end tv's the processors in them are so good they beat the processors in the bd players. So it's best to set the bd player to 'Source Direct' and pass the native content from the bluray disc to the display and the let display upconvert and deinterlace it. A $165 Pio BDP-320 bd player will perform exactly the same as the $2300 Marantz UD8004 player. Ultimateavmag.com compared the top performing bd players...
