HMV $8 Titles *Alliance Haters Beware*

Alliance has the following films knocked down to $8. Don't know if this is the permanent price, but I doubt it, as they range from $10-20 at other stores.

The English Patient* - 1080i/1.78:1
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind* - MP4/1080p/1.85:1
Equilibrium - 1080p/1.78:1 (open matte)
The Faculty* - MP4/1080i/1.78.1
Hostage* - 1080i/1.78:1
The Illusionist* - 1080p/1.85:1
Requiem for a Dream: Director's Cut* - 1080p/1.78:1
Running Scared* - MP4/1080i/1.78:1
Se7en* - 1080i/1.78:1
Trainspotting: Director's Cut* - MP4/1080p/1.78:1

I got Seven for $3 after trade in. I thought the movie looked pretty good for being 1080i and wrong OAR.

I will pay $3 instead of the $20 US version anyday!

I think I'll pass though on this even though they are only $8. I know I'll get flamed for this but I bought Shaun of the Dead as a blind buy at HMV for $10 (2/20 deal) and actually didn't like it. Put it on goozex.

no, they have begun removing stickers from these sale priced items. if your lucky enough to find one with a sticker on it im sure theyd honor the trade it, but its not normally done.

they've still got the list up online, so i showed them that and got the faculty for $3.

You dont need stickers on them, if they are on the list, they have to honour the $5 off trade in.

no sticker no trade-in, plus I think $8 is a sale price, they usually negate promo offers on sale priced items

i just got the whole thing explained to me last week when I tried to trade in for Equilibrium last week, which was priced at $8, which the cashier said was a "sale price"

i just bought shaun of the dead as a blind buy as well, i saw hot fuzz before(bought it with shaun) and loved fuzz, thought it was great, shaun of the dead is good, but isnt anywhere close to hot fuzz
