Adult films on Blu-ray

I know this will not be popular with some, but...

Let's leave it to the moderators to determine what subject matter is appropriate, shall we? If your morals or personal preferences direct you to view pornography as something you want nothing to do with, then don't wander into the threads that are clearly discussing it. I really don't see it as being any better than when HD DVD fanboys invade this site, spewing hatred and trying to convince people that have already made up their mind to think as they do. Think about that for a moment.

The simple fact is this: Blu-ray has fans of all shapes and sizes, and for many different reasons. You may not believe or agree with them, but it is not for you to ridicule. That's my two cents. There can be a mature discussion regarding pornography without graphic language, or elicit descriptions. I'll say it again: let the moderators do their jobs...

Ditto. BD porn can discuss PQ, SQ?, acting, plot and music. Honestly, there isn't a great deal to discuss about porn when it becomes available on BD. Porn is porn. No big deal. Any threads discussing porn will most likely be very general in nature and not individual titles will be up for review.

Unless it has an indecent "curse" title then why not at least list them? I understand not having full reviews, but maybe at least picture quality. One man's porn is another man's erotic movie.

I think when the porn industry helped VHS overcome betamax it was a different time. The internet was non-existant and as there was really no other format to buy porn from, today porn is everywhere! The influance of the porn industry will not have the same effect on the outcome of this format war. Its hard to slap the sausage on the Hi-def big screen when the kids are in the other room. And lets face it, most of our home theater systems are in our living room. Not optimum for ones privacy. And showing your buddys gets uncomfortable after a couple sceens. (pitching a tent with the buddys, Not cool.) All the hd-dvd guys are so proud of their porn, cool, Porn serves a purpose, its not story telling, and its not important in hi-def, and it wont make or break a format.

Sorry Spikes, have to disagree with some of your comments here. We, as members can "wander" into any forum and we are entitled (from what I know we live in the USA) to give our opinion on any matter. As long as it is a clean reply and not slamming anyone I think it fair to give one's opinion. Just like your opinion here, I gave "my" opinion as well as and from what I can see, I am not the only one that has my way of thinking on the subject.

I do think that the mods do a great job here and by no means was I trying to do "their job", just giving a opinion that I think most people agree with.

Porn will never go away, it will always have it's place, I just don't think that it needs to be discussed here at Blu-ray.com, again, just my opinion.

Porn is on every format. If you want it it is up to you to check out websites that sell such and find it yourself.

Well there is only one porn I know of in high definition. Its called "Pirates" and it is on HD-DVD. But honestly why would you want to spend around 50 to 60 dollars on a HD porn when you can buy a dvd one for like 10 - 20 dollars? Just my opinion.

Good gracious, if you are offended by porn then don't go to a thread titled "Adult films on Blu-ray"...... Further more, simply asking if there are any films like this on Blu is far less offensive that much of the other material I have seen on here. I for one am interested in any reviews or news of these kinds of movies on Blu but I am NOT interested in someone elses "higher than though" attitude towards an adult bluray film thread. If you can't contribute to the thread then don't pay any attention to it!

That being said, I have only heard of the three movies previously listed. I have heard of "Pirates" and that it had a 2 million dollar budget, but it's not out on Blu that I am aware of....

Freedom to speak about something doesn't just mean "let's keep it clean." If you want the freedom to speech you also have to tolerate a bigot shouting at the top of their lungs how rotten American society is because of "racial contamination", that socialism is the solution to the world's problems, and American's should revolt against the very government that is guaranteeing them their very right to say that. And if you ever saw any porn on DVD (don't worry, no need to raise your hand now) you would know that close ups can be very revealing in SD as well. The only difference is: will you see the movie kind of foggy with mpeg artifacts showing, or nice and clean. I prefer nice and clean, but that's just me...

Not really trying to have a go at you, but why WOULDN'T it be discussed here? There are porn blu ray movies, this is blu ray.com, seems like as good a place as any. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but on any given site on the net that you "wander" into, you might see some things you don't like.
