Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl really stole the show though. If you take this movie for what it is, genre satire (although the fight scenes are impressive on their own) you'll definitely enjoy it.

I don't know about that. honestly that is way too soon. maybe July but June is just way too soon. It was a major release in over 3000+ screens.....the contract has to cover more than 10 weeks.

By the way, it can't be June 30th anyways because that is a Wed......if it was going to come out in June it would be on June 29th.

I'm guessing this isn't the case, yet again, they might want to see if this does better at Home, so they can get working on a sequel!

This thread should be DELETED. There is absolutely ZERO PERCENT CHANCE the movie will be coming out on Blu-Ray that soon. The link in the OP is wrong and this thread is very misleading. Stop getting your hopes up people.

This movie was in the can for a long time awaiting a studio to distribute it so it's possible the director used this time to prep the dvd release. It also seems to be in world wide release. One of the things that delays dvd releases is movies tend to release in the US first then release in other countries in the following weeks. It could just be a mistake but I hope the date is right. VideoETA estimates an August release, btw.

Except from it came out in a ton of places before America, UK, Australia, New Zealand etc!

This is a bit of a slippery slope the studios are playing on. Some studios might want to release the Blu-ray version in an accelerated time table to cash in on the advertising dollars used to promote the theatrical run. This may prove to be the most profitable way of selling some of these non blockbuster movies.

After a few months these movies will just be playing on limited screens and at dollar theaters anyway. Also major blockbusters that are courting the same audience like Iron Man 2 will likely hurt Kick-Ass in theaters. I know that sometimes these quick home video releases lure people into blind buying a lot better than if they get released long after their theatrical run has completely died off. You hear people say things like wow is this out already, I never got around to seeing it, but I heard good things so maybe I will just buy it.

I think it will definitley be released arround that date because the movie hasn't been out more than a month, and it already dropped to 5th place on the Box Office. Kinda sucks because it is such an amazing movie

I want it as soon as possible! I hope June 30, 2010 is the true release date. It's not going to do much better at the Box Office sadly. With Iron Man 2 out, it only made $470.000 friday at #10, which is very unfortunate since this is such an amazing movie.

It has made $73,846,000 Worldwide so far, and will probably end up at around $85,000,000 Worldwide by the time it leaves Theaters. I think a lot teens under 17 snuck in. I know a bunch of kids at my high school, ages 15-16 who snuck into it. Luckily I'm 17!

This has a good chance of getting new viewers when it comes to DVD/Blu-Ray. It will also probably make some good money for rentals. This will have a cult following when it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray. Sales combined with theatrical run, rentals, iTunes, and DVD/Blu-Rays, will make the film very profitable in the end run. It hasn't been officially confirmed, but it has been said it will have a sequel in theaters. Hopefully home video sales will have the studio officially confirm the sequel.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. This is easily a day one buy for me, and I want this as soon as possible!

Most movies that do terrible at the box office do not even come out on DVD/Blu-ray this quick. To expect a movie that has been given very positive reviews and has had some success at the box office to come out this quickly is simply absurd.
