So, I like to keep sequels together, based on the entire series (ex: First Blood is under Rambo), which means The Dark Knight is next to Batman Begins. I noticed something kinda neat (for a nerd like me). I have Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Beetlejuice, Big Fish. In other words, Burton, Burton, Nolan, Nolan, Burton, Burton. Awesome

I don't know why is gives me so much joy.

A combination of things-- packaging, genre, alphabetical.

Thumbs up

Geeze, this thread is still going?

I recently "shifted" my blurays. They used to sit stacked on top of the DVD's. But now that so many of the DVD's are gone there weren't enough to hold up the blu's. So now the blu's sit on the bottom.

One day I expect to sort them alphabetically into animation and non-animation.

While I wouldn't say it infuriates me, I find it rather odd to organize your collection by studio or some other "random" method. To each their own, but I would think it would get difficult to find a particular title as my collection grew.

It would be nice to arrange them alphabetically, but the problem is I have to shift them every time I buy a new movie. And I buy a new one quite frequently, so it’s going to be a hassle.

I have absolutely no problem shifting them. I do it everytime I get a new movie.....no matter how frequent

Ditto. I don't find it that difficult to slide them over one space, even if it involves moving around multiple shelves.

Alphabetically by director, franchise title, actor or whatever, depending on the blu-ray.
