Hey man...how's it going. Looks like your Flyers are still alive.
I had yesterday off, and since the weather was so crappy outside, I spent a good deal of it doing some demoing and sound calibration. It was a good day.

Good idea. I love to tweak my set-up when I am in the mood and no one is around. How is the wife....how many weeks along is she now?

She's 19 weeks.
She had her UltraSound yesterday. Pretty cool seeing the baby like that. Really makes the whole thing a little bit more real.

Yeah in the morning I started my tweaking...my dogs was like WTF man...turn that crap down!

Wow, you are getting close to 1/2 way....I didn't realize that. Glad to hear everything is good to go....right now, no news is good news. We had both of ours with natural child birth at home. We only got 1 ultrasound done for each of our kids and that was when they were about 30-32 weeks old. That was just to make sure they had 2 arms, 2 legs, etc....

Hey Landry...how's it going? Enjoying the new amp? I know I am!
I saw how you did your cable management so I went to Ikea last night and saw those cable hoses (not sure what to call them) that you hide the cable in. They were like $6.99 each. Is this a good price or could I get them cheaper somewhere else?

Do you guys have a Home Depot or Lowe's in Canada? If so, that would be the best place to purchase some. It is like 7ft for $1.99. You should also come out cheaper ordering it from http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp or http://www.partsexpress.com. The wall anchors came from monoprice as well. Loving the Emotiva. I plan on ordering a UPA-2 for my surrounds next week. I am hooked!

Yes, we have both Home Depot and Lowes. Awesome...that will save some money...didn't think they carried it, I'll check it out tonight. Thanks for the info!

Can you cut the tubes down the middle to allow easier access to put the cords in the tube or does it already come with a cut in it?

The ones at Ikea were not cut...not sure about the Home Depot or Lowes ones. I have been meaning to clean up my cables for so long...this upcoming week holiday will be a perfect time.

No problem Chris. Look on the electrical isle, near the zip ties and crimping tools. You will be surprised what all you find on that isle. I even saw heat shrink tubing.

Sounds like he may want to take a cart with him when he gets to that aisle.....not to mention his debit/credit card....I know I would "suddenly" realize that I could improve this or remove that in my HT if I saw all those goodies.

Speaking of goodies...it's funny that you say that...last night at Ikea they have real Plasmas and LCDs setup in the living room displays. Of course, being me, and seeing that they left a remote sitting there, I start screwing around with the Contrast, Brightness..etc. My wife walks over to me and says "are you f%cking kidding me?"

LOL!!!! I did the same thing at the furniture store!!!

I saw a TV there with a remote and a DVD player in one of the entertainment stands while we were shopping. We had picked out the furniture by then and had some time while the salesman did his thing. My kids were with us (that was a mistake by the way) and they were getting really restless, not to mention wanting to jump on all the new furniture in the showroom. Seeing the TV, I got the remote, turned everything on and low and behold, "Finding Nemo" came on. We got past the previews and to the main menu. I clicked "start movie" and then the kids sat still and didn't move the rest of the time we were there. I called it a brilliant move on my part, my wife said "can't you stay away from all of this HT stuff for 5 minutes?" When I showed her how the kids were sitting still and staring at the TV, she looked at me and said "nice.....I guess you think you're smart or something." I said, "see...all that time I spend on Bu-ray.com is good for something!"

That's just classic! Love that story!

Not only am I learning about HT here...I'm also learning valuable strategies to handle my kid when it's born. Perfect win-win in my books!

When my wife asks me why can't I stay away from all this HT stuff for 5 minutes, I usually reply, "what do you call changing diapers, cooking dinner, doing all laundry, cleaning the house, cutting the grass and running around doing the necessary errands?" She says "that doesn't count."

Oh god what I have to look forward to. You're going to have to start a separate thread for me asking you parenting questions.
