HD-DUD heads are making there selves known defending another member that's multi format.

Your missing the point and this is the last time I will make it clear.
Simply
Dont wish a format war would end and support both formats...The war will be longer.
Does that make sense to you.....Yes or No ???

It's only 120 players and they have to buy the $200.00 box set.

Essentially the player is $200.00 and Paramount is now subsidizing them because you cant get the player w/o buying the set.

he brought a $98 dollar player that toshiba loses $500 on everyone sold seems like to a blow to them then he got 10 free movies to boot.

sounds like he gave bluray a good leg up for the price of $98 more so then buying $98 of blu movies.

Interesting way of thinking about it but if he waited till December 26th he may have got that player for 9.99
I think that $98 dollars would be better spent on Blu-Ray movies but hey it,s not my money

Not really. I wish the BDA side did the same. There are computers that are cheaper than some calculators. I would not say it is a shame that the computers cost less, I'd say it is a shame that the calculator costs more!

That the most feature rich BD player is also the cheapest, is what is wrong with the BDA. With HD DVD you pay more you get more. Not so with BD players. IMO ALL profile 1 players should be $150 or so.

The BDA is blowing this big time. When I bought into the format 6 months ago, I would never have imagined this.

Toshiba revenues are up 17% - how come? They must be doing something right.

Look how high blu-ray software sales are compared to HD-DUD.You will then find Blu-ray is crushing HD-DUD.The best thing you can do now is put the kids to sleep telling them your sorry for your HD-DUD mistakes.

Keep it up and I'll ship you my A20 and you can take it out on it. But then I'll be a dead man because I gave away her gift.

BTW it was still hilarious.

Thats very odd.Toshiba is promoting blue color on there player.
hmm The kids are watching a Disney Blu-Ray commercail and,

kids :Mom and dad I want that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it will look so cool on are TV !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Mom looks at dad and shakes her head.

Dad :kids are dvd player doesn't play Blu-ray disk.HD-DVD didnt let us know what we were getting into.

Mom :That darn walmart.

kids :But mom are dvd player has blue lights on it so I know it plays on are dvd player.

Mom :Sorry kids we got ripped off.

Dad : well I guess we can take the player back to walmart guys.

Mom smiles , kids start yelling "yes yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They take Toshiba back to walmart picking up a Blu-ray player, Cars on blu-ray disk and all smile.
We now have a happy family with the Toshiba blue light no longer seen
Dad gets a Good nights sleep with perks because moms happy she doesn't have to hear kids crying for Cars on blu-ray when taking them to school in the mourning.

Furthermore, I got a player and 10 movies for that price, how many BR movies could I have bought with that? 4 or 5? The problem is, I already own everything I want on BR... that $99 dollars got me 10 movies and opened the door for many other movies I want to see TODAY, not three years from now when BR might win.

I stated they are losing money (just like Sony), and I stated why it makes sense to do so for both sides. Do you have poor reading comprehension?

Consumers like myself? You mean the ones that own two BD players and every BR available that they have any interest in? I've spent over $3k on BD, you? You're right, I'm not supporting BR, maybe zealots like yourself will encourage people like myself to take their money elsewhere.

No it makes no sense, I have no idea what you mean by this fragmented thought. I've spent $3,000+ on BR and $99 on HD DVD. As I stated above, I'm a HDM consumer, if BR can offer me everything I want I'll buy the BR format. Even though I've put much more $$$ than your average Joe into BR, this still does change the fact that this war isn't going to be over anytime soon. Me being exclusive to BR up to this point obviously hasn't ended the war.

I don't want BR to win the war? You maybe you'd be right if all BR fanatics were like yourself, that would certainly get me to switch over to HD DVD!

I want to see movies that are available today, not two years from now. Furthermore, even someone with your intelligence should be able to figure out that I've supported BR much more so with my $ than HD DVD.

Of what? Some 150# 17 y/o Internet zealot?

I came here to get away from the shit-starting idots in the HDM forum of AVS, I see this site has it's share as well.

BTW, Saga... thanks.
names sega.... but its all good.
