Default Do any MGM Blu-rays look good?

I just finished watching Black Rain on Blu-ray. The PQ was amazing for the movies age and the movie itself was pretty good for what it was. I dont know what it is but movies like Black Rain make me feel nostalgic for a decade I never really experienced (I was born in 1986), kind of a wierd emotion for me to get I suppose.

I am the kind of person who loves old movies more than new ones and the bottom line is I have seen some very good Blu-ray transfers and some really bad ones. The Warriors, for example, is the best PQ I have ever seen for a 28 year old movie, with Untouchables and Black Rain being close seconds. Paramount really knew what they were doing when transfering old movies onto Blu, kinda makes me miss them more (their audio was a whole different story though).

I really want to get Robocop on Blu-ray but I am worried MGM didnt do a good job on it, the reviews arent to good (then agian the Black Rain reviews werent to good either but I got it as part of the summerBlu-ray offer) and every MGM Blu-ray I have rented so far has either looked terrible (The Terminator) or barely passing for "High Definition" (Rocky). I have seen a few MGM titles and none of them have ever looked good.

Can anyone here who has seen Robocop please compare it to the other old movies I mentioned? Is robocop as good as Warriors, Untouchables, Black Rain or closer to the likes of Rocky and Terminator? Or can anyone name a good looking MGM BLu-ray.

Also if anyone else can recommend some good old movies with amazing PQ, I'm always open to suggestions?
