Default I am kinda bummed out on the poor reviews Robin Hood and Iron Man 2 are getting .....

Because I wanted these movies to be great films to have on blu-ray.

Yes I have not seen either but the reviews I have read on both movies are fairly mixed.

While 7.1 is not that bad on the IMDB for Robin Hood and 7.5 for Iron Man 2 its the numbers at the MRQE ; Movie Review Query Engine , MRQE.com that I am concerned about because most of those reviews are from professional reviewers. Those numbers are 57 for Robin Hood and 63 for Iron Man 2, the latter is not real bad but anything in the 50s usually turns out to be pretty accurate IMO.

reviews and others' opinions are not what makes a movie good or bad to own. do you like it? if so, buy it...who cares what other people think?

everybody...and i mean everybody loves a few movies that are generally hated

True, true. Its just that I cannot help reading reviews on movies that I have a high interest in.

What can you really expect? One is a sequel (sequels always a slight disappointment) and the other is a prequel that doesn't show anything we've come to love about a legendary character.

They are both still very good, just not as good as they "could have" been.

I don't rely on reviews as much. I saw Iron Man 2 and loved it and can't wait for the Blu! Haven't seen Robin Hood yet but will watch it this weekend.

Neither movies are poor.

Iron Man 2 is a great summer movie. Robin Hood is a really great movie.

Thanks, if its not too much trouble , please post here after you see Robin Hood, its the Ridley Scott/Russell Crowe factor as to why I wanted this one to be a great movie, I am a HUGE Gladiator fan and wanted Robin Hood to be AWESOME.

Well I seen Robin Hood in the theater and I was not a fan at all of it. Very boring movie. On the other hand I thought Iron Man 2 was really good. Personally I liked it as much as the first one. I can't wait to buy it on Blu-ray!

If I trusted reviews I would never watch movies. There is plenty of stuff critic hate that I love.
