I haven't been to Montreal for a couple of years but I always go to Metro Video. It is underground but it's pretty easy to find. There's a huge english movie theatre on St. Catherines Street ( I think it's Famous Players but I could be wrong ) It's in a mall next door and down an escalator. They have the best selection I've found in Montreal but one the natives might know more than me.
If it interests you I would recommend Shwartz Deli (the street escapes me right now) The smoked meat sandwich is out of this world.
