I know some are going to be bothered by the fact of some "another game to movie" thread, if fact I'm not really interested in the movie itself, but It just hit me and got myself thinking of who would actually be the perfect director for something like a "God of War" movie, that would interest me in watching it and that would be...
Terry Zwigoff! (Crumb, Ghost World, Bad Santa) The material is perfect for him, as the Character Kratos, is a as disturbed as he is violent and angry. Zwigoff always has a sympathy for the pathetic or insane. The thing that might turn off some is how he would interpret the violence, but I don't think he would tone it down. |

I think any of these guys would be awesome (no particular order):
Christopher Nolan Zack Snyder The Watchowski Bros Robert Rodriguez Guillermo Del Toro Peter Jackson Michael Bay Might be intruiged by: James Cameron Steven Spielberg Timur Bekmambetov John Woo (so long as it's along the same lines as "Red Cliff" not "MI2") Bryan Singer JJ Abrams Martin Campbell Absolutely would not want: Roland Emmerich Uwe Boll (like I even need to mention him ![]() |

So what? If you wanna change some stuff around its cool, but changing stuff to where you don't want people to know whats gonna happen next or make it different or whatever, you are just gonna end up messing it up. Look at Resident Evil for example, Anderson didn't want everyone to know what was gonna happen next and do it different and now we don't even know wtf is going on, because It has nothing to do with Resident Evil. Its seems like they're just some action movies with Resident Evil cameos. Movies would've been a million times better if they would've just followed the games. The main reason people want to see a game-to-movie is to watch a movie of a game we like! not to go in not knowing whats gonna happen next "during the entire movie" because if thats the case then we really aint watching a movie of a game that we like.
