Thumbs up Cars + Pixar Short Films = Nice Freebies!

If anyone has not noticed, if you buy Ratatouille and Pixar Short Films, there is an offer for a free collectors pin set. Also, if you picked up Cars, there is an offer for a free die cast "Blu" car.

They are available by following the instructions on the insert and entering the code shown there.

The cool thing about all this is - you DO NOT have to cut out any UPC or POP labels off the cover art. Remember how you had to do this with DVD's and ended up with boxes, covers that looked defunct because of it? Eh, I never did it for that reason. So - you can maintain the "collectibility" of the film this way.

The only thing you pay for is shipping - $3.50 I think. CA, WI and another state must pay taxes.

Enjoy!

Nice little discounts as well on a few titles when combined. The last BOGO spoiled me. I don't know how to deal with my unrealistic expectations. I need another one on Shrek day.

That's just the Disney Movie Rewards page for adding and redeeming points from movies you buy.

Does anyone have anymore detail on the "blu" car and such?

I won't have to wait long to find out myself (my order of the pixar releases on amazon just shipped), but I'm still wondering.

The Blu-Die-Cast Lightning McQueen and the pin set are both part of the Disney Movie Rewards program. The same code you earn points with that comes with the discs enables you to send off for the car and pins. Both of them will cost you $3.50 shipping/handling. A CC might be req'd, not positive.

Cars > Blu-Die-Cast

Short Films + Rat > pins

This is explained also on the inserts that have the codes.

125 ea. for the BDs. The only time I recall trip points was the Pirates BDs. Hopefully P3 will be trip.

I just got around to entering all my codes the other night when I came home with Cars/Rat/Pixar. I entered those and ordered the Blu Car (skipped the pin set as I didn't really want it) and put my other codes in for all the earlier titles. When I got to POTC I saw that it had triple points, but when I entered it I only got 125 points each. I'm wondering if the triple points offer was time limited. Anybody know?
